Scattering Week

Hey guys, I hope you're have a great start to your week! In case you forgot, this is our Collective Scattering week where we forgo meeting as a group in order to connect with neighbors, co-workers, or family who may not know Christ. If you weren't able to make it to the group prayer time this morning, there will be another one at the church this evening at 9.

This Friday we will also be having a no-obligation-but-you'll-be-sorry-if-you-miss-it game night! Show up at our place at 8 with some games if you want, and some snacks. It's gonna be a blast!

Now, regarding the iampeople need we spoke about last week, here are the needs that still haven't been met:
  • Iron
  • Computer
  • Men's Clothing - XXL shirt, 38-40 pants, size 13 shoe
  • Electric Bill Assistance
  • Food/Groceries
  • Bed
  • Bike Cover
  • Christmas Presents
  • Vision Care/Glasses
  • Drawing/Painting supplies and books for 21 year-old special needs man

The mother's name is Irene and her phone number is 503-995-2402. Their address is 14385 SW Beef Bend Road, Apt. G4, Tigard 97224. Sign up below with what need you'd like to meet, give Irene a call to coordinate it, and feel free to partner up with others in the group if you want to go together. Looking forward to hearing some cool stories!

  2. Agreed! I say we keep our eyes open for sales over the next month and start collecting presents as we find them, and hand them out the beginning of December. Coolio? I believe the ages are mid-50's woman, 21 year old son (with special needs) and 2 year old grand-daughter.

    1. Does the woman have transportation? I was wondering if we did a portion as a gift card, so that the woman can feel like she got a chance to do some shopping herself? What do you think?

  3. I just spoke with the owner of a newly opened local mattress shop near the beaverton library, and although he cant donate right now since he just opened, he did say he could do an XL twin SET for cost, which would be about $119. It would be about $15 a family to chip in for it. I told him I would get back to him no later than the 15th (after we meet again)and thanked him bunches. Something to noodle on this week!

    2. Thanks for checking into that Hope! Did the mattress SET mean the box spring and the metal bed frame? Should we chip in a little more for those if not? Thanks

    3. I know for sure it was the box spring, but I would have to double check on the frame, but I have a feeling it does bc I explained the whole situation and all about being off the floor and everything.,...
